During COVID we lost the habit of each other. We're on our phones more now than we've ever been, and somehow further apart for it.

You didn't have a phone in your hand. If you wanted to see your friend, you walked to their house and asked. No feed. No algorithm. Nothing to perform. Just a question, and then an afternoon.

This is an app for asking that question again.

How it works

There isn't much to it

Connect with people you know, see what they're up to, and add something of your own. That's the entire app.
Connect
Find the people you actually make plans with. Meet someone good at a hang? Tap their name on the guest list and connect. The circle grows in person, not by suggestion.
See what your friends are doing
Open the app to a short list of what your people have going on. In order, never ranked. Something looks good — say you're coming, and close the app.
Create a hang
What you're doing, when, and where. Start from a template, pick who gets to see it, and you're done in about fifteen seconds.
Who can see it

You decide how far it travels

Every hang gets one setting, chosen when you make it. There is no public-by-default anything.

Public

Anyone can see it. For bars, venues, and anyone throwing something open.

Friends

Everyone you're connected with.

Friends of friends

Your people, and their people. Good for a low-stakes weeknight.

Private

Only the people you name. Nobody else knows it exists.

Private, shareable

Invite only — but the people you invite can bring in someone you don't know yet.

And who can't

Block someone outright, or — when that feels like too much — quietly hide your hangs from them, and hide the ones you're attending so they can't use a guest list to work out where you'll be. No confrontation required.

Why it's different

A feed that ends

You'll scroll it, sure. But it's your friends' actual plans, in the order they're happening, and it runs out — because the point is to close it and go.

  • Nothing is ranked

    What your people are doing, in the order it's happening. Filter it however you like. Nothing is ever boosted, promoted, or slipped in.

  • No comments, no likes

    You can't react to a hang. You can only go to it. There is nothing here to perform for.

  • A calendar too

    The same hangs laid out by date, for when you're working out which night you can actually make.

  • The address, once you're in

    Hosts can keep the location hidden until you say you're coming.

  • No such thing as declining

    There is no “no” button and no “maybe”. You mark that you're going, or you don't. Nobody is counting.

  • Again next week

    Set a hang to repeat. The standing Thursday thing shouldn't need rebuilding every week.

  • Interested in the next one

    Any hang that already happened can be answered with “I'd come to the next one”. It works like an RSVP for a hang nobody has made yet — so hosts can see who they'd be throwing it for.
